As a family of 5 with grown up as well as a younger child the dynamic of this villa is perfect for us. The location is superb. A 3 minute walk down to the bay with all it has to offer. When you combine the access to the beach with such a wonderful pool in the villa it makes for the perfect location for a family holiday. The villa has everything we need. I really enjoyed cooking on the hot plate BBQ and the kitchen itself is very well stocked with all the equipment we needed. The seating around the villa means we could have plenty of time together and also quiet time to read and enjoy a glass of wine. Evenings at the front of the villa are wonderful. After dinner each evening it’s a great place to sit and watch the sun go down while relaxing. Matthew is an excellent host. Very helpful and accommodating. His service is perfect. Thank you again to Matthew and HMR villas for a wonderful holiday. We are now planning another trip next year. |

We had a lovely time and have a few suggestions for improvement. Adding a toilet in the pool area or direct access to the ground-floor bathroom would be helpful for wet guests. Upgrading the kitchen pots and pans would also enhance the experience.

Stunning villa with absolutely everything we needed and more! Matthew couldn’t have been any more helpful and when we had a small issue with the BBQ he came within 3 minutes (with ice cream) and fixed it for us.

After leaving my iPad and iPods in the villa at the end of the holiday, they have been retrieved and kept safe until they can be picked up. Can’t recommend this villa enough. Might be a bit tight for 8 people but plenty of room for 5 of us. |

This was our 4th trip to El Portet and location suited us perfectly. A 3 minutes stroll to the beach for the mornings and lazy afternoons around the wonderful pool.

The villa is as described on the web page. This was our 4th trip to El Portet and location suited us perfectly. A 3 minutes stroll to the beach for the mornings and lazy afternoons around the wonderful pool. The villa had everything we needed. The hot plate bbq was very easy to use. There are plenty of seating areas around the villa so we were able to sit and chat together but could also have a little peace when wanted. The AC was very welcome as it was blisteringly hot while we were there, the house was always cool when we returned. A previous review noted that parking could be an issue. If you leave the property on a Saturday or Sunday you will loose the parking space to beach goers. Most had left by late afternoon so it was not really an issue for us. It is worth noting the villa is semi detached but we were not bothered by the neighbours who were only home for 1 night during our stay. Matthew was very helpful and responsive. It’s clear HMR pride themselves on 5* accommodation and service. We plan to return to El Portet again next year and will not hesitate to book this villa again. |
